Job Summary

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for identifying, contracting, and implementing partnerships with hospitals and alternate site infusion centers. The KAM will establish and maintain effective relationships with hospitals and alternate site infusion centers, ensuring they have the necessary resources, training, and protocols to administer the NSP Portfolio of products. This role requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration with NS Pharma’s clinical, market access, patient services, marketing, and sales teams to create standardized operating procedures (SOPs) that hospitals and alternate site infusion centers will adopt.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Site Identification, Engagement, and Contracting

  • Proactively identify potential hospitals and alternate site infusion centers capable of administering NSP Portfolio of products, focusing on operational readiness and clinical expertise.
  • Lead outreach to target sites, engaging key decision-makers, and establishing relationships that highlight the strategic benefits of a partnership with NS Pharma.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with hospitals and alternate site infusion centers, aligning with both NS Pharma and site-specific compliance, financial, and operational requirements.

Training, Implementation, and Protocol Development

  • Facilitate all training activities to ensure site personnel are equipped with the knowledge and protocols required for administration.
  • Collaborate with NS Pharma’s clinical and marketing teams to develop and implement SOPs and protocols that address the logistical, procedural, and regulatory needs for the safe handling and administration of NSP Portfolio products.
  • Ensure hospital sites are trained, providing clear guidance on handling and logistical processes for pre-infusion preparations.

Logistics and Pre-Infusion Processes

  • Oversee the setup of logistics access, aligning site capabilities with the technical specifications and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with NS Pharma’s market and patient services team to streamline pre-infusion processes, from patient referrals to scheduling and infusion preparation.
  • Manage the development of a standardized workflow across all partner sites, ensuring a consistent and compliant approach to patient access and treatment.

Relationship Management and Post-Implementation Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all post-implementation needs of partner hospitals and alternate site infusion centers, ensuring a high level of service and responsive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with NS Pharma’s sales, market access, and patient services teams to ensure that ongoing needs, from inventory management to patient scheduling, are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and execute regular engagement plans to support partner site personnel, maintain satisfaction, and ensure adherence to established protocols.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and SOP Development

  • Work closely with NS Pharma’s internal clinical, market access, marketing, patient services, and sales teams to refine and adapt SOPs and protocols for NSP Portfolio administration.
  • Contribute to cross-functional strategy meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on field experience and feedback from hospitals and alternate site infusion center partners.
  • Support the integration of patient access and support programs at hospitals and alternate site infusion centers, working to streamline access and optimize the patient treatment journey.

Patient Advocacy and Service Activities

  • Represent NS Pharma at patient advocacy conferences, HCP educational summits, and fundraising events, supporting patient and family engagement.
  • Provide educational insights on NSP Portfolio treatment and access options, promoting patient empowerment and awareness.
  • Collaborate with advocacy groups to enhance visibility for NSP Portfolio treatment options, strengthening NS Pharma’s community presence and patient support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales position in neurology, neuromuscular, cardiology, genetics or infusible products and rare disease.
  • Minimum of 4 years of documented success as Hospital Account Management with national and /or regional hospital system, marketing, market access, analytics, training or related roles required
  • Thorough understanding of hospital systems, medical policies, pathways, protocols, and buy and bill process required with a strong understanding of infusion processes, logistics, and pre-infusion protocols
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contract management and implementation. Experience or proven ability to negotiate with, and sell to, top senior decision makers and preferred documented access to appropriate stakeholders in targeted accounts.
  • Hospital product launch experience with buy and bill outpatient facilities is required
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to build and maintain relationships with hospitals and alternate site infusion center partners.
